Emily + CONNOR

It’s always such a “small world” feeling when I’m photographing a destination wedding for a couple from where I’m based! Emily + Connor are also both University of Oregon grads (sco ducks) who are now living in San Diego, CA. It was so much fun getting to mingle with everyone over their wedding weekend and compare notes about our overlapping college days —I’ll even be photographing the wedding of their close friends in Bend, OR next year ◡̈

Their entire wedding weekend was filled with so much heart, intention, and genuine care for the people they love. Leading up to the wedding, one of the biggest things Emily + Connor told me was that they wanted their photos to focus on how the day felt—guest candids, meaningful in-between moments, and especially plenty of photos of Emily’s grandparents, who were their flower girl and ring bearer (the sweetest).

They trusted me completely to document the day as it unfolded, and that kind of trust means everything to me. I left their wedding weekend feeling incredibly grateful to work with couples who value connection over perfection and invite me to preserve such an important chapter of their lives.
