TAYLOR + DAVID

Some sessions just come together without trying too hard, and this was one of them.
We spent the evening wandering around Smith Rock as the light changed, stopping whenever something caught our eye. The earth tones Taylor + David wore couldn't have fit the landscape any better, and everything about the session felt easy. Lots of laughing, a little climbing, and no pressure to make anything feel overly posed.
I always love photographing at Smith Rock because it somehow looks different every time and is only a short drive from Bend, Oregon. The cliffs, sagebrush, and soft desert colors create such a beautiful backdrop without taking away from the people in front of the camera —it's one of those places that always leaves me feeling inspired.
Engagement sessions like this are some of my favorites. There's no rush and no timeline—just a chance to hang out, get to know each other a little better, and document this season before the wedding day. It feels more like an evening spent outside than a photoshoot, and it makes me even more excited for their wedding day at the stunning Juniper Preserve this fall.
