— About Alex
I’m a digital + film photographer originally from Hawai’i, now living and based in Bend, Oregon. I specialize in weddings on the West Coast, but I’m available for events worldwide. With an eye for honest emotion and fleeting detail, I approach each wedding as both a thoughtful observer and a gentle guide — creating images that feel less like photographs and more like memories.
I’m equally drawn to dramatic landscapes and intimate human moments, and my work is editorial in sensibility and deeply personal in feeling. When I’m not photographing weddings, you can find me on a hiking trail, in the surf, or wandering a new city in search of good light and good coffee. Outside of work, life looks like time with my golden retriever, Winston, and my partner, Christian— both of whom have a way of reminding me how precious photos of your loved ones are.

— My Approach
I approach each wedding with the love & care that they each so deserve, so you will have a photographer that is fully present and noticing all the subtle moments. I give direction when needed but lean heavily on observation — both helping me document a day in its fullness but creating space for emotions to organically unfold.
I’m an empath by nature, so I love that I get to serve my couples through being their photographer and guide them through one of the biggest days of their lives. My gentle, sincere approach to photography provides a sense of peace during fast-paced wedding day moments that could be otherwise chaotic. My genuine care for each of my couples allows us to get to know each other well and feel more ease throughout sessions and wedding days. The more ease you feel with me, the more fully you can be present for each other. That ease, I’ve found, is where the best photographs are created!
— What Inspires Me
Travel ignites my creativity + inspires the way I work. There's something about moving through an unfamiliar place slowly — on foot, without an agenda — that sharpens the way I see. I find myself drawn to the same things I look for in my work: the way light hits a building, the beautiful details of a well-designed space, the quiet beauty in things most people walk past. Experiencing new cultures, places, and people will always be incredibly inspiring to me and truly shapes the way I photograph.
