Some weddings feel special long before the wedding day arrives, and this was definitely one of those. From their engagement session to Bailey’s boudoir session and every planning conversation in between, Bailey + Evan became fast friends. Getting to know them throughout the entire process made their wedding day at 1 Hotel Hanalei even more meaningful to photograph.

Set along the north shore of Kauai, 1 Hotel Hanalei is truly one of the most incredible wedding venues in Hawai’i. Surrounded by the natural beauty of Hanalei Bay, the property was designed to blend seamlessly with the island, incorporating sustainable materials, native landscaping, and breathtaking views of the mountains and ocean. With its open-air spaces, organic textures, and relaxed luxury feel, it creates the perfect balance of elevated and effortless.

Their wedding day felt like the perfect reflection of the venue—intentional, beautiful, and deeply connected to the people they love most. From emotional moments getting ready to portraits surrounded by Kauai’s lush landscape and a celebration overlooking the bay, every part of the day felt sincere.

A huge part of making the day run so smoothly was working alongside the incredible team at All The Deets. Their planning, attention to detail, and calm presence throughout the entire process made such a difference. They brought the couple’s vision to life while creating an experience that allowed everyone to fully enjoy the day.

One of my favorite parts of being a wedding photographer is the relationships that come from this job. What started as photographing an engagement session for two strangers on Maui turned into months of friendship, excitement, and trust leading up to this incredible celebration in Kauai. I will always be grateful to have been part of such a beautiful chapter in their story. Looking forward to photographing their next chapter as their family grows ◡̈
